Writing about Misata?
Everything here is accurate as of the date on this page and safe to quote. If you are comparing tools, the limitations page lists what Misata does not do, so you do not have to find out the hard way.

In one line
Misata generates realistic multi-table synthetic data, such as test, demo and sample databases, and proves every foreign key, total and rate before you get it.
Short description
Misata Studio is a synthetic data generator for connected tables. You describe the data you need in plain English, draw a schema or paste one, and get tables where every foreign key resolves and every number you declared, such as a 2% fraud rate or a revenue total, comes out exact, with a certificate that shows what was checked. It is also available as an MCP server for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, as an open-source Python library, and as a set of ready-made free and premium datasets.
Long description
Most test and demo data is either copied from production, which leaks real people, or generated one random field at a time, which breaks the moment two tables are joined. Misata takes a different approach: it treats a dataset as a specification of tables, relationships and outcomes, generates rows that satisfy it, and then recomputes every declared relationship and figure on the delivered data before handing it over. Misata Studio is the no-code web app; the MCP server lets an AI assistant design the tables while Misata guarantees the math; the MIT-licensed Python library runs offline with no model or API key; and the dataset catalogue offers multi-table sample databases free under CC0, plus premium datasets that carry ground-truth columns, such as the true cause of every insurance claim denial or every control-chart signal. Misata was started in 2025 by Muhammed Rasin.

Story angles
- AI agents that can prove their data. The MCP server splits the job: the model designs the tables, a deterministic engine guarantees the math and returns what it checked.
- Datasets with the answer key inside. The premium datasets record why things happened, so an analyst, a model or a course can be graded against the truth.
- Test data without production data. Generated from a specification, so no real customer row is ever copied, masked or learned from.
- A one-person company competing on proof. Every dataset ships with its checks, and the limits are published.
